100,000 Signup Bonus for Amex Platinum Available to Some Through CardMatch Tool

The Platinum Card by American Express has a standard signup offer currently of 60,000 points after $5,000 in purchases within 3 months. However some people can do even better than that right now it appears.

American Express is strategic in trying to identify people who aren’t already cardmembers of other Amex products when they are acquiring new customers with the biggest offers, but that may not be their only criteria.

One of the great ways they have to target bigger signup offers is the CreditCards.com CardMatch tool. You enter your name, address, and social security number and they’ll match you against the profile they’re looking for.

While you provide your social security number, the site is explicit in assuring “A soft credit check will be performed but it will not affect your credit score.”

Right now some people are receiving an offer through the CardMatch site for a 100,000 point signup bonus for the Platinum Card by American Express.

Offered Retrieved November 7, 2017

This is a fabulous offer for a fantastic card. The annual fee is $550 but there’s a $200 annual airline fee credit (which you can use once in 2017, and again at the beginning of 2018, so twice during your first cardmember year) and a $200 annual Uber credit. There’s also a $100 Global Entry credit.

Lounge access is American Express’ own Centurion lounges, Delta lounges when flying Delta same day, Airspace lounges and Priority Pass lounges.

And you get elite status with Starwood (which matches to Marriott), Hilton, National Car Rental, and Uber.

It’s also a pretty hefty metal.

Definitely worth checking to see if you’re eligible.
