Hyatt Credit Card Customers Can Now Earn Points Referring Friends

I still have a Hyatt Credit Card. It’s great for the signup bonus which used to be 2 free nights at any Hyatt property, but is now 40,000 points after $2000 spend within 3 months.

Of course a Hyatt property can cost up to 30,000 points per night for a standard room, but points are more flexible to split up across more room nights or to be used towards suites or on cash and points awards. And points can be transferred to someone else for free.

I keep the card, the annual free night up to category 4 is more than worth the card’s $75 annual fee. But the reason to *get* the card is the signup bonus and because Chase doesn’t limit approvals to folks with fewer than 5 new card accounts in the last 24 months (‘5/24’).

Though I am not putting any spending on it anymore, I used to do $40,000 on the card to earn 10 nights towards elite status but that perk has been eliminated.

Chase renewed its Hyatt credit card deal this year and is looking to acquire more cardmembers. They’ll give existing cardmembers points for referring customers. Emails have been going out this afternoon on the offer, which is common for many Chase products but that I haven’t seen on the Hyatt card before.

Terms and conditions:

1You will receive 10,000 bonus points for each friend you refer through this Refer-A-Friend offer (up to 5), who is approved for the card. Maximum bonus points accumulation for this offer is 50,000 bonus points. We may provide you with future opportunities to earn bonus points by referring your friends to The Hyatt Credit Card. You may earn bonus points up to the stated maximum for each offer, however, please note that if you take advantage of multiple opportunities within one calendar year that the maximum number of bonus points that can be awarded from all referral offers is 50,000 per calendar year. In the event the bonus points you earn from all referral offers exceeds the 50,000 per calendar year, you may be awarded a partial amount to keep your total bonus at 50,000 bonus points. For example if you have already accumulated 45,000 bonus points from refer-a-friend offers that calendar year and the maximum is 50,000 bonus points per calendar year, then the next award will be 5,000 even if the offer states 10,000. This offer is subject to change and may be cancelled at any time without notice. Please allow up to 8 weeks after each new cardmember’s approval for bonus points to post to your account. Your bonus will appear on your statement as “Refer-A-Friend bonus.”

2Submitting email addresses: You may submit up to 25 email addresses in a 24 hour period (each 24 hour period is defined as 12:00am-11:59pm CT). By referring friends you agree to allow us to send an email on your behalf inviting them to apply for the Hyatt Credit Card. Your friends’ email addresses will only be used for this offer and will not be used for any other marketing solicitations or sold to third parties. If your friend already has a Hyatt Credit Card account or your friend’s email address is in our email opt-out database, no email will be sent.

Due to the confidential nature of the credit approval process, we cannot disclose information on who has applied, nor will you be notified whether we approve or decline any application(s) from the individual(s) you refer.

Chase employees are not eligible to refer friends for this promotional offer.
