According to CinemaBlend movie subscription service MoviePass will add a family plan next month. This is something that we’ve previously known about, but now we have specifics. Here is how family plans will work:
- Each member of the family will need their own MoviePass account
- You can link up to four accounts (why only four? many families are much bigger)
- One main account can then buy up to four tickets at once for the same screening
Disappointing to see no discounted pricing, although it’s something they have hinted might happen in the future. The limit of four people per family seems incredibly stupid and I’m not exactly sure why that limitation is in place. Still this might make things easier on families/friends when trying to purchase multiple tickets for the same screening. Sinemia offers something similar with it’s sinemia for two plan, but that is more directed towards couples.
