Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency such as Orbitz or Expedia, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. However, if you’re using The Platinum Card® from American Express, you’ll need to book directly with the airline or through the Amex Travel portal to get 5x MR points. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz or Expedia’s courtesy cancellation if you’re unable to get the time away from work or family.

Spain is one of the world’s premier travel destinations. Offering attractions from world-class museums to pristine beaches, Spain is sure to satisfy the needs of even the pickiest traveler. However, given the country’s popularity, flights are often quite expensive. But if you’re at a loss for where to go this Spring Break, a new round of very low fares to Spain might help you make up your mind.

Various Star Alliance airlines are offering one-stop flights from Philadelphia to both Barcelona and Madrid for less than $250 round-trip. While Philadelphia might seem restrictive, you can keep the cost of a trans-Atlantic flight down by booking a connecting flight for well under $100 or fewer miles than it would cost to book a trans-Atlantic flight. It is important to note that all itineraries as part of this deal are in basic economy for one or all legs. That means the cost of checked bags is not included in the price.

Make sure you don’t miss out on what the country has to offer by checking out Get Your Guide’s list of best activities in Barcelona, Madrid and other cities in Spain.

To search, head to Google Flights and enter your origin and destination cities. Scroll through the calendar function to find dates and prices that work for you. Finally, click through to book directly with the airline or through an OTA like Priceline or Expedia.
