AmEx Offer: Turo, Spend $150 & Receive $45 Statement Credit

Written by Chuck @ Doctor Of Credit

Get a $45 statement credit when you spend $150 or more with car rental service Turo. Valid until March 13, 2020.
Turo is basically a service that lets you rent other peoples cars (Uber for car rentals), you can also get an additional $25 credit by using a referral link. Feel free to share your referral information in the comments below. Last time around there was a Membership Rewards version as well, I’d guess it’s the same this time

Amex Offers: Delta Airlines, Spend $300 & Get $60 Back (or $200/$40)

Written by Chuck @ Doctor Of Credit

Check Amex Offers to see if you are targeted for one of these:

Get a $60 statement credit by using your enrolled card to spend $300+ in one or more transactions direct with Delta Air Lines by 11/12/19. Flights must originate in the U.S. and purchase must be in USD. Or a $40 credit with $200+. I can’t find it on any of mine, but it seems to be somewhat widely available. In the past, buying Delta gift cards online worked to trigger the offer credit as well (despite the terms). If it does work, then it’s easy for most people to take advantage of this offer by simply buying a gift card

Apple Credit Card Adds T-Mobile, Uber, Walgreen’s, Duane Reade as 3% Category; More Merchants To Come

Written by Chuck @ Doctor Of Credit

Update 9/19/19: They’ve now added T-Mobile as well to the 3% category when using Apple Pay at a T-Mobile store. Note: paying your monthly bill with T-Mobile will apparently not get 3%. Groupon: $30 Raise.com Gift Card Credit for $15 [New Raise Customers Only]

Written by Chuck @ Doctor Of Credit

Groupon is offering a $30 credit toward a gift card at Raise.com for just $15. Valid for new Raise customers.

Must redeem on the Raise app for iOS or Android. It’s not a bad signup offer for trying out Raise. I think there may be other referral offers of like $5, but this one is a bit better. Does require using the app, though. Keep in mind it won’t stack with other Raise promos since the $30 credit functions like a promo code to take $30 off.

[Update] Major Change to Paypal Refund Policy – Processing Fees Won’t be Refunded on Order Cancellation (Affects eBay Sellers, etc.)

Written by Chuck @ Doctor Of Credit

Paypal sent out an email today with an update today to the Paypal terms which will go into effect on May 7, 2019. The new terms seem to indicate that the entire 2.90% + $.30 fee will not be refunded in case of an order cancellation/refund. Currently the policy is that the $.30 does not get refunded, but the 2.90% fee does. This is literally insane! It means that an eBay seller or online retailer who makes a $1,000 sale and gets an order cancellation will lose the $29 fee charged by Paypal.

[Targeted] Plastiq: Pay 1% Fee on up to Three Payments

Written by Chuck @ Doctor Of Credit

For this month only, submit up to three payments with Plastiq ($10,000 or less each) and benefit from a 1.5% Plastiq fee. We saw similar deals in the past. Those were for a lower fee of just 1%, but this deal is better since it allows the use of any credit card (not limited to Mastercard), and it allows payment to existing payees (not limited to new recipients), and you can do the payments as you wish, with or without scheduling it
