Marriott has announced a number of positive changes for earning status in 2021:
- 50% elite night credits for 2021. This is based on the status you had for 2020 (remember 2019 status was extended for 2019) and is as follows:
- Silver: 5 additional elite nights
- Gold: 13 additional elite nights
- Platinum: 25 additional elite nights
- Titanium: 38 additional elite nights
- Ambassador: 50 additional elite nights
- Off peak award pricing being reduced by 10%. This applies to bookings made by February 21, for stays through September.
- Spending threshold for Marriott Ambassador reduced. Normally this requires 100 nights and $20,000 in spend. The spend requirement is now $14,000 (30% reduction).
