Singapore on Wednesday decided to temporarily freeze new ticket sales for Vaccinated Travel Lave (VTL) airline and bus tickets for December 23 – January 20, 2022.
Visitors to Singapore who already have their tickets can continue to apply for the Vaccinated Travel Pass (VTP). Singapore will also cut in half the allocated quota of tickets to be sold to potential visitors from January 21.

IMPORTANT UPDATE
From 22 December 2021, 2359hrs (SGT), there will be no new ticket sales for all designated VTL (Air) flights for entry into Singapore until 20 January 2022, 2359hrs (SGT). Ticket sales for entry from 21 January 2022 will also be temporarily reduced.
Travellers who already hold a ticket for a VTL flight can continue to enter Singapore under the VTL (Air) on their originally planned date, provided they meet all VTL (Air) conditions. Applications for the Vaccinated Travel Pass (Air) will remain open.

Conclusion
You have to give Singapore a credit that potential visitors can continue to apply for VTP if they hold tickets on VTL flights, even when new ticket sales are halted for four weeks.
This may, however, affect the VTL services that airlines can profitably provide to Singapore. When new ticket sales are frozen for four weeks, and the quote is cut in half from January 21, it will affect airlines’ loads, and cuts in flights are inevitable.
I have a flight out from Singapore in early April and plan to enter the country 7 to 10 days before from one of the neighboring countries where VTLs are open.
