United Mileage Plus has rolled out a promotion where members can share miles between accounts without having to pay the usual $30 processing fee in addition to a 20% discount on the transfer fee.
Transferring miles is essentially paying a small fee for already existing miles rather than minting new ones but it can make sense sometimes to consolidate accounts with small amounts.
