Lufthansa is currently in contract negotiations with several employee unions, each representing a different group ranging from ground staff and technical department to cabin crew and this has resulted in several strikes over the past months.
At least one such group – the ground staff – has now reached a new agreement with Lufthansa for the coming 24 months and will receive a substantial pay increase while other union negotiations are still ongoing.
