Several readers contacted us this past week about a development at an Accor-affiliated hotel in Australia—there is only one for now—that has gone nuclear and started charging for happy hour beverages in its club lounge.
Beverages are usually complimentary inside the club lounges, including alcoholic ones during the evening happy hour. Some lounges may have complimentary beer and wine out during their entire opening time.
