Marriott is Overhauling Sheraton + Sheraton Waikiki Renovations

Written by Island Miler @ Jeffsetter Travel

According to USA Today, the Sheraton brand is the third largest brand in the Marriott portfolio, having made up 42% of the pre-merger Starwood portfolio.  And, […]

Marriott and Starwood Hawaii

Written by Island Miler @ Jeffsetter Travel Blog

The biggest news in travel the past week, and possibly all year, is Marriott’s acquisition of Starwood.  And while there’s a lot of controversy regarding Starwood Elite benefits and Marriott Elites getting shafted, it’s difficult to argue that the merger has provided many more options to both sides.  This is especially true in big cities […]

Review: Sheraton Bahrain

Written by Miles and Even More @ Miles & Even More

I visited Bahrain on work earlier this week, and stayed at the Sheraton Bahrain hotel for two nights. Because of my meeting schedule, I flew Jet Airways (via Mumbai) instead of flying direct Gulf Air direct, which I would’ve loved to try out and review. I’m not going to write about my flights between Mumbai and Bahrain and back, partly because there isn’t much new to write about international business class on a Jet Airways B738, after my Singapore trip. However, I note that the flights did not have in-seat video screens even in business class (only a couple of those small overhead drop-down screens), and no champagne (they did serve wine, though I didn’t have any).

But here’s my take on the Sheraton Bahrain.
