Malaysia scuttles Kuala Lumpur–Singapore high speed rail project

Call it a setback for transportation innovation. In one of the first major infrastructure moves from the new government Malaysia is walking away from plans to link Kuala Lumpur and Singapore via high-speed rail. It is a significant setback for transportation in the region, though probably good news for the many LCC aircraft flying of of the busiest air routes in the world.
